ABOUT
Award winning, Edinburgh based photographer & image maker.
I originally trained as a sculptor and visual artist, graduating from Edinburgh College of Art in the mid nineties. That's where I first picked up a camera, starting out then with my Rolleiflex SL35 film camera.
The camera is digital now, and those fine art and sculptural concerns continue to find their way into my work. Still life is my principle discipline, although I have an interest in many forms of photography and increasingly, illustration.
Interest and inspiration are found in a number of different areas. Science and nature, and in particular a fascination with liquids, prove to be recurring themes in my work.
I also create narrative designs for book covers, CD covers and theatre posters.
I love spending my free time getting lost in the Scottish Highlands, with my camera.
